THI3RTY | Cafe Catholique | Small Faith Groups

THI3RTY

Wednesdays, 9:30pm in the Lincoln Park Student Center, room to be announced

Come for prayer, community, music, and conversations about topics that matter in your life! Last year we had exciting and engaging speakers and conversations about St. Vincent de Paul and how he connects to our lives today, how to think about political and social engagement from a Catholic perspective, sexuality and spirituality, and a variety of reflections on “God, Are You There?” THI3RTY (pronounced thirty-three) is a weekly gathering of students who wish to deepen, explore and learn more about their faith. It was created so that Catholic students have a time and place outside of regular worship services to engage fellow Catholic students in discussions about important issues about faith and life. For more information contact Kate Ritger at 773-325-7928.

Cafe Catholique

Wednesdays, 8pm in the St. Vincent de Paul Parish Rectory

Check out this new program! Café Catholique is a brand new program specifically for juniors, seniors and super seniors to explore topics of faith that are unique to where you are in life. Topics of conversation may include living your faith and finding community after graduation, navigating meaningful relationships, discerning your vocation, exploring sexuality, and engaging social justice issues and service in your daily life. Come be part of the community and join in meaningful conversations. For more information contact Kate Ritger at 773-325-7928.

Small Faith Groups

For information about any of our Small Faith Groups, contact John DiMucci at 773-325-7234.

The mission of Small Faith Groups at DePaul University is to provide students with a forum where they can explore and discuss their faith with a group of peers in a prayerful and supportive environment. Small Faith Groups support their members through regular meetings and gatherings. Groups are designed so students can learn more and grow in the Catholic faith.

This quarter we will have five organized groups in addition to groups of students who can self select and form a Small Faith Community base on common interests.

Catholic Scripture Study: By using the upcoming Sunday mass readings as the basis for discussion you can gain a better understanding of the scriptures. Led by Fr Chris Robinson C.M., the group meets every Monday at 7:00 PM in room 300 of the John T. Richardson Library.

Saints and Spirituality: We hear about the saints all the time and they often seem so untouchable. In a prayerful environment this group will look at the lives of 10 saints, their spirituality and discover ways to integrate their examples into our lives.
