Housed in the Community Service area of University
Ministry, Casey oversees the Service Immersion
Program and works with students interested in
Post-Graduate Volunteer opportunities.
Currently, Casey is a candidate for a Master's in
Human Services and Counseling. Before his
work in University Ministry Casey worked for two
years in Undergraduate Admissions. While there he
worked with Adult and Transfer students.
Casey grew up in Evanston and wandered off to the
Left Coast for college. He graduated from Santa
Clara University in 2000 and returned to his
Midwestern roots as a volunteer teacher with the
Inner-City Teaching Corps. In his two years at St.
Dorothy Catholic school Casey taught mathematics to
the fifth and sixth grade. In his spare time Casey
finds refuge in the Friendly Confines, sadly watching yet
another year pass without an appearance by the Cubs
in the World Series. He also keeps busy by running
and trying to win the love of Beyonce Knowles.

Katie Brick serves as Chaplain to the School for New
Learning and to the College of Commerce and
Kellstadt Graduate School of Business in the Loop
Campus. Katie is particularly interested in
workplace spirituality, interfaith topics, and
accompanying people on their spiritual journeys. She
leads a regular Centering Prayer group on Tuesdays
at 5:00 in Lewis Chapel.
Prior to joining DePaul, Katie had a diverse work
experience that included marketing, organizational
development consulting, non-profit social services,
hospital chaplaincy and the Bernardin Center
Peacebuilders Initiative program. If you want to
hear about how all this came about, just stop by DPC
11009 and ask her. Katie received a B.A. in history
and an MBA from Northwestern University, and an
M.Div. degree from Catholic Theological Union. She
lives on the North side near a park that is great
for walking.

Emily Briskman is the Program Director for Hillels
Around Chicago: Multi-Campus Center. She graduated
from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of
Arts degree in political science. Emily has worked
as a Machon Kaplan Fellow for the Jewish Council for
Public Affairs, Intern for the American Jewish
Committee and Council for Jewish Education Fellow at
the Jewish Community Relations Council of Palm Beach
County. Emily currently directs Hillel’s Jewish
programming for three Chicagoland schools including
DePaul University, Northeastern Illinois University,
and Oakton Community College.

Guillermo Campuzano Velez is a Vincentian priest from Colombia. His work has been developed in several countries through lecturing, teaching, especially priestly consecrated and laity formation. He has also rich experience serving the underprivileged communities and advocating for human rights and human dignity. Guillermo now works in University Ministry and teaches courses in Catholic Studies, Religious Studies, and the Master’s in Public Service program. He also advises the Chicago Archdiocesan project for Latino young people and helps other dioceses in the formation process of Latino leaders. His last three years before arriving in the U.S. were spent in Aparecida, Brazil. Guillermo enjoys engaging in rich conversations about different topics such as politics, literature, or movies. He is a crazy soccer fan who will even listen to entire games via internet radio.

Rev.
Ghana M. Cooper (Ghana) is ordained in the Full
Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship. Her Christian
ministry experience has included working with the
Catholic Church, Lutheran, Episcopal, Presbyterian,
Methodist, and Baptist denominations. Ghana has also
engaged in interfaith dialogue and worship
experiences with the Jewish and Muslim faiths. She
is a graduate of the University of Illinois at
Urbana Champaign (B.S. Human Resources), the
University of Illinois at Chicago (Masters of Social
Work) and McCormick Theological Seminary (Masters of
Divinity). Ghana is currently working on her
Doctorate of Ministry at McCormick, where her area
of concentration is Parish Revitalization. Ghana
sits on the Academic Programming Committee as the
D.Min student representative. Ghana is known for her
ability to translate her education and training into
the daily realties of administration and ministry.

Celeste came to DePaul University Ministry in August
2003 with over 20 years of combined administrative
and human resource experience. In her role as
Administrative Coordinator, she provides
comprehensive direction for departmental
administrative needs such as budget management,
development of promotional materials, supervision of
clerical staff and student workers, and serves as
primary liaison with Human Resources, Payroll, and
Procurement. Celeste currently holds a B.A. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology. She is working on her M.S. in H.R. Management through the Kellstadt Graduate School of Business here at DePaul.

Fr. Ron Hoye

Fr. Ron is the chaplain for Catholic Campus Ministry
(CCM) at DePaul. He is director of the Retreat
program on campus and tends to the pastoral outreach
of all students, staff and faculty. Previous to his
ministry at DePaul, Fr. Ron was director of Vocation
TeamWorks for his community where he was heavily
involved in young adult activities and programs both
domestically and internationally. He has taught
classes in World Religions and Ethics at DePaul and
is also a popular speaker at various assemblies on
both the parish and secular scene.
Fr. Hoye enjoys the outdoors but says his love for
rock climbing in no way diminishes his enjoyment of
attending a good theatre production. He listens to
and enjoys all kinds of music and gratuitously
admits his most tragic downfall: a tent, a kayak,
and a good book in the middle of nowhere.

Tom Judge serves as Chaplain to the College of Law
and the School of Computer Science,
Telecommunications, and Information Systems (CTI)
via DePaul University Ministry’s Center for
Spirituality and Values in Practice. He came to
DePaul University in 2004 from Loyola University
Chicago where he worked within University Ministry.
Tom is completing his master of divinity degree at
the University of Chicago. He received his Juris
Doctor degree from the University of Iowa and his
Bachelor of Arts degree from Creighton University.
Prior to entering Divinity School, he practiced law
in the state of Iowa. Since returning to graduate
school he has worked in ministry at St. Clement
Catholic Church and at Northwestern Memorial
Hospital.

Mark began as the AVP for University Ministry in
June of 2005. He holds a M.Div from the Institute
of Pastoral Studies at Loyola University Chicago
(1999.) As an Associate Vice President, Mark
provides comprehensive
leadership and direction for the Department of
University Ministry, and he is a member of the
DePaul Student Affairs leadership team. Prior to
his work at DePaul, Mark was the Executive Director
of Amate House, a post-graduate service and faith
formation program within the Archdiocese of
Chicago. In addition, he has had extensive and
varied pastoral experiences, including
hospital/hospice chaplaincy, high school
teaching/ministry, and young adult faith formation
and development. Mark is bilingual in Spanish,
which he developed during a two year lay mission
experience in Santiago, Chile, where he served upon
graduating from the University of Notre Dame in
1989.
Mark and his wife, Paula, have four children, reside
on the far west side of Chicago, and are members of
St. Giles Parish in Oak Park.

Rev. Wendy Mathewson

Working closely with her Residential Education and Housing Services colleagues, Wendy addresses the spiritual needs of students living on campus and provides connections to service and growth opportunities.
Wendy is an ordained Minister of Word and Sacrament in the Presbyterian Church (USA). She served as Associate Pastor at Northminster Presbyterian Church in Evanston and as a Pastoral Resident at the Fourth Presbyterian Church of Chicago. She is a graduate of McCormick Theological Seminary (MDiv) and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (BA History).
Wendy understands her ministry to be a supportive presence to the spiritual and religious lives of all students. Her faith is energized by questions and enriched by relating to people of diverse backgrounds. She loves conversations that matter, especially over coffee and pastries.

As the Liturgy Coordinator for Catholic Campus Ministry, Matt is responsible for the preparation and coordination of all Catholic liturgies and prayer services on campus, including Sunday Night Mass, Evening Prayer and Taizé Prayer. He graduated from St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN, with a degree in Music and Management Studies, where his student involvement included leadership in the Catholic Student Association, St. Olaf Chapel Choir and Residence Life.
Before coming to DePaul in August 2007, Matt served for five years as Pastoral Associate for Liturgical Music at Mary, Mother of the Church parish in Burnsville, MN. He is also a part of the team for Music Ministry Alive!, a week-long summer institute for young people who serve as liturgical and musical leaders in their parish/school communities. A native of Wisconsin (Go Packers!), Matt is thrilled to now live just a (very, very) long foul ball from Wrigley Field (Go Cubs!).

Karl was hired in August 2000 as a Residence Hall Minister
and to oversee DCSA, the weekly community service, faith and
leadership formation experience with students. Currently,
Karl oversees DePaul's Faith and Civic Engagement, a project
which advances a core vision of Student Affairs and DePaul
University: to connect, inform, and institutionally amplify
faith and civic engagement work at the University. He also
is a Visiting Faculty Member in DePaul's School for New
Learning, teaching the "Spirituality and Homelessness: A
Service Learning Externship" course.
Karl completed his Master's in City Planning from the
University of Pennsylvania in 1998, and he earned his
Bachelor's of Arts in Economics from the University of Notre
Dame in 1993. He engaged in post-graduate service with the
Holy Cross Brothers in Santiago, Chile from 1994-1996 while
in graduate school at the Pontifícia Universidad Católica de
Chile. He was the Director of the Philadelphia Higher
Education Network for Neighborhood Development (PHENND) at
the University Of Pennsylvania from 1998-1999. Subsequently,
he was a Jesuit formation candidate at Cristo Rey Jesuit
High School from 1999-2000. He currently lives in the
Brighton Park neighborhood in Chicago with his wife, Maggie,
and family.

Siobhan
O'Donoghue

English native, Siobhan came to DePaul in 1999 with an M.
Div and M.S.W. from Loyola University. In her role as
Assistant Director for Community Service, she provides
comprehensive leadership for University Ministry's
commitment to and involvement in community service,
including: DePaul Community Service Association (DCSA),
Service Immersion Trips, Vincent and Louise (formerly Amate
House) and Special Service Days at DePaul. She is also
involved in a variety of special projects such as the
Concern Fast which promoted Concern's work fighting hunger
and poverty in the developing world. Prior to her work at
DePaul, Siobhan served as a Jesuit and Palliottine Volunteer
working with the homeless and previous to this, Siobhan
worked in investment banking and advertising in London.

F. Javier Orozco, SFO provides leadership to the Religious Diversity life of the university in the area of Interreligious and Ecumenical ministry. Since his arrival to DePaul in 1995, his service has included residential ministry, retreat ministry and ongoing pastoral care ministry. His pedagogy includes courses in Religious Studies and Catholic Studies, inter alia.
F. Javier has a Ph.D. (Theology), a B.A./M.A. (Philosophy), and an S.T.B (Systematic Theology). F. Javier is a professed brother in the Secular Franciscan Order. Currently, he serves as the Local Minister to the Brother Jocoba Community, and is the Vice Minister for the Mother Cabrini Region of the Secular Franciscan Order. He is married to his lovely wife, Theresa.

Rev. Christopher Robinson, C.M. was born in Bakersfield, California and grew up in Houston, Texas. He was ordained to the priesthood in Perryville, Missouri on June 11, 1989. Fr. Chris has had many experiences of ministry and has taught both full-time and as an adjunct instructor at DePaul. He joined University Ministry full-time as an Associate Director of University Ministry in July of 2006. Fr. Chris coordinates efforts related to Catholic Campus Ministry and Pastoral Outreach.

Hired in the 2001 by University Ministry, Greg is
primarily responsible for the organization and
implementation of the Vincentian Service Day. In
addition Greg coordinates large community service
events and special events for the University
including Books-N-Hoops Summer Camp Program, New
Student, R.A. and Senior Week Service Days. Greg
also serves as the staff leader for Service
Immersion trips including San Carlos, Philadelphia
and Ecuador.
Currently Greg holds undergraduate degrees in
Political Science from the University of Kansas and
a Business Administration degree from Mississippi
State University.

Pauline Villapando
Vincent and Louise House Coordinator

Pauline is the coordinator for the Vincent and
Louise House, charged primarily with recruiting and
organizing volunteering, community life and faith
formation in this program that links the university
to the Archdiocese of Chicago. She also coordinates
the Catholic presence in the university dormitories
through the Catholic Bed & Breakfast program once a
week. Pauline is originally from the Philippines,
but grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada, and graduated from
the University of Nevada in 1999 with a B.A. in
Communications. After a couple of years spent in
high school youth ministry at a parish setting, she
set off to start her Master of Arts degree in
Pastoral Ministry at a Jesuit university in the
Philippines. After a year, she came back to the U.S.
and completed her studies at the University of
Dayton in Ohio.
