Hurricane Katrina devastated a great deal of the Gulf Coast. People in the Gulf Region are rebuilding not only their homes but their lives. Our service in Biloxi will give us a glimpse into the impact of a natural disaster and provide student the opportunity to hear the stories of those impacted by Hurricane Katrina and our country’s response. Service will consist mainly of manual labor with local communities. Service has potential to be very challenging physically and applicants should be aware of the strenuous nature of this immersion before making it a top choice.
